Dr. Maaz Shaikh, MBBS, MPH, is a highly accomplished healthcare leader with over 14 years of experience developing and implementing data-driven digital health solutions across multiple continents, including the U.S., U.K., India, and the UAE. He is currently the Vice President of Product Management at M42, where he spearheads the strategic development of cutting-edge AI-powered healthcare platforms. His work is focused on genomics, real-world data, and patient engagement, driving innovation and improving outcomes in personalized medicine, drug discovery, clinical genomics, and environmental health.
Dr. Shaikh’s career reflects his deep expertise in building AI-driven ecosystems within the healthcare industry. Prior to joining M42, he led Digital Product Management at Daman National Health Insurance Company in Abu Dhabi, where he was responsible for transforming the company’s digital health engagement platform. This initiative empowered Daman’s members to make more informed health choices and improved their overall care journey through the integration of next-generation tools. At Daman, he also played a critical role in digitalizing health services for UAE nationals, dramatically enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of Abu Dhabi’s health insurance program.
Dr. Shaikh's experience extends beyond product management into research and academia. He has held prestigious research appointments at both Harvard University and the University of Oxford, where he contributed to large-scale population studies and explored real-world data applications in developing countries. His research projects, particularly in cardiovascular health, diabetes, and healthcare utilization, have been published in leading peer-reviewed journals.
