Wael F. Elamin

Wael Elamin is a consultant clinical microbiologist and infection control doctor with extensive experience in the UK and UAE. He has a strong academic background, with degrees from Sudan, the UK, and Germany, and fellowships from the Royal Colleges of Pathologists and Physicians. He has led several projects and initiatives in antimicrobial stewardship, pathology services, and outbreak investigations, and has received national and international awards for his work. He has published widely on topics such as Helicobacter pylori, multidrug-resistant organisms, and antimicrobial resistance in conflict settings. He remains affiliated as an adjunct Professor at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, and a Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University, London. He previously served as the medical director and subject matter expert in microbiology and infectious diseases at G42 Healthcare, and the medical director of Environmental Sciences at M42, leading cutting-edge innovative technology projects, leveraging data and AI.
